Welcome to our website!
Sheffield University Performing Arts Society (SUPAS) is the University of Sheffield’s only society specialising in musical theatre.
We put on two shows each academic year in the University Drama Studio; past productions include Cabaret, Footloose, Sweeney Todd, Evita, Urinetown, The Producers, Fiddler on the Roof , The Addams Family,
Made in Dagenham, Chicago and Legally Blonde
We also run a variety of workshops and projects. In 2018, we began constructing smaller-scale musicals, performed at various theatre venues around the city. Most recently, these have included Musicals Through the Ages, Into The Woods, and Little Shop of Horrors. We also regularly collaborate with other performance societies in our Musical Theatre Mondays club. As well as all this, we perform at Platform Festival in March each year, have our own radio show, compete in Campus Leagues netball and host plenty of informal socials!
Our core philosophy is to have fun and be as inclusive as possible. Whether you like to act, sing, dance, direct, design costume or run tech, there's a place for you!

Volunteer to help out Front of House and then see another performance for free

Whether it's sound or lighting, costume or stage management, we've got a place for you
